Stackable Shoe Rack

Stackable shoe racks are basically supportive plastic or wood ends with bars in between that are placed at a staggered height in order to store your shoes. Every pair is visible, but they are not protected from the elements of dust and other things falling on them. These racks are very inexpensive and can be purchased in multiples so they can be stacked on top of each other if you have many pairs of shoes to store.

They work well in the bottom of a closet, out of sight. Their biggest problem can be their flimsiness, although sturdier models are available. We have one in the back of our main coat closet and while it serves its purpose it easily gets buried under things that are thrown in there. Shoes are not placed in their own little spaces so its very easy for them to get tossed around and seperated from their mate. With no protection the stackable shoe rack really just gives you an elevated way to store your shoes, but they're really only useful if you are very organized and neat and wouldn't have small children burying your shoe racks anyway.

Despite my frustrations with this type of product they do serve a purpose for many so we have detailed a few of the better choices here.
